Camper's Jaffle

Few foods just work, anywhere and anytime. The kind of meal that’s always a favourite morning, noon or night, there’s no denying the unbelievably versatile jaffle! Whether its just a snack for the kids or a surprise desert the options are endless. Pretoria Caravans is happy to share three of our favourites, try these delicious breakfast, lunch and desert jaffles this month and let us know your favourite jaffle recipe!
Breakfast…
What you’ll need:
Eggs
Bacon
Mushrooms
Cheddar Cheese
Margarine
Salt
Pepper
Milk
Square cut Bread Slices
What to do:
Prepare and cook your bacon, egg and mushrooms to taste adding some salt and pepper for some
extra flavour. Use a non-stick cooking spray to prepare the inside of the jaffle iron and spread some
margarine on both sides of two slices of bread. Put one of your slices into the jaffle iron and add
your filling of egg, bacon, mushroom & cheese. Cover with the other slice and close the jaffle iron.
Place the jaffle iron on a gas stove or fire and turn until the bread is golden brown and ready to eat!
Lunch…
What you’ll need:
Chicken Breast
Mushrooms
Mayonnaise
Sunflower oil
Margarine
Square cut Bread Slices
What to do:
Prepare and cook your mushrooms and chicken breast while adding a little chicken spice. Chop up or
shred the chicken and mix with mayonnaise. Use a non-stick cooking spray to prepare the inside of
the jaffle iron and spread some margarine on both sides of two slices of bread. Put one of your slices
into the jaffle iron and add your filling of Chicken mayonnaise & mushrooms. Cover with the other
slice and close the jaffle iron. Place the jaffle iron on a gas stove or fire and turn until the bread is
golden brown and enjoy!
Dessert…
What you’ll need:
Swiss roll
Bananas
Custard
Margarine
What to do:
Chop up the bananas into slices. Use a non-stick cooking spray to prepare the inside of the jaffle iron
and spread some margarine on both sides of two slices of swiss roll. Put one of your slices into the
jaffle iron and add your filling of bananas & custard. Cover with the other slice and close the jaffle
iron. Place the jaffle iron on a gas stove or fire and turn until the swiss roll is lightly toasted &
browned and delicious!
